El teniente de alcalde delegado de Medio Ambiente, Javier V\u00e1zquez Hueso, ha participado en la XVI Asamblea General de la Red Espa\u00f1ola de Ciudades por el Clima, que se ha celebrado en la Sala Antonio Machado de la Fundaci\u00f3n Cajasol, en Sevilla.<\/p>\n

Junto al edil algecire\u00f1o han estado, entre otros, la alcaldesa de Jerez y presidenta de la FEMP, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Garc\u00eda-Pelayo Jurado; el alcalde de Sevilla y presidente de la Red Espa\u00f1olas de Ciudades por el Clima, Jos\u00e9 Luis Sanz Ruiz; el teniente de alcalde delegado de Medio Ambiente de Jerez, Jaime Espinar; y la t\u00e9cnico municipal de Medio Ambiente del Ayuntamiento de Algeciras.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, V\u00e1zquez ha recordado que el Ayuntamiento de Algeciras tiene en marcha el Plan Local de Acci\u00f3n por el Clima y la Energ\u00eda Sostenible (PACES) con el objetivo de reducir las emisiones en, al menos, un 40% de cara al 2030 y adaptar la ciudad a los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico; somos un referente a nivel nacional en el desarrollo de la Agenda Urbana; y formamos parte del Pacto de Alcaldes por el Clima promovido por la Comisi\u00f3n Europea y en la Red Andaluza de Ciudades Verdes y Sostenibles.<\/p>\n

Por \u00faltimo, ha se\u00f1alado que \u201cdesde el Equipo de Gobierno de Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Landaluce, continuaremos trabajando por una Algeciras m\u00e1s moderna, verde, resiliente, sostenible y respetuosa con nuestro entorno.
